    Nalle Sjöblad

    Nalle Sjöblad

When Nalle Sjoblad was growing up in the suburbs of Helsinki, he dreamed of becoming a scientist. Fascinated by nature and biology, he often built clever school projects – like an ingenious snake trap. Since then, Nalle has carried his inventive creativity and attention to detail into his films. His projects combine strong art direction with playful, burlesque humour, giving his work a distinctive style and instantly recognisable tone. Nalle is a versatile director, skilled at leading large teams while maintaining meticulous attention to every detail.

    Director’ comment
I’m a film director who likes to tell funny stories. Sometimes I enjoy telling sad stories, if they have a bit of humour to them. I think laughing at one’s own (passing) misery is the pinnacle of human experice. This is how I see life.
