About MSIFF

Held annually in February at Madarao Kogen in Iiyama City, the festival began offering online streaming in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This unique festival, now in its 17th year, promotes film through the exchange of high school filmmakers from Nordic countries and Japan. Selected short films from both regions are shown on screens made of snow.
