Miyukino Snow theater International Film Festival in Madarao: History 2008-2026
The Miyukino Film Festival in Madarao has been held as a charity film festival since September 2011 through 2018.
Screenings of Nordic and Japanese films and related events are held nationwide.
Proceeds from each venue are used to host a free film festival in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Over the course of a year, we hold themed programs tailored to each venue.

Denmark, August 30-September 4, Odense City, “Odense Student Film Festival The Next Film Festival” will be held, and “The Story of the Largest Kettle in Japan” (English title: “The Story of the Largest Kettle”), which won the Miyukino Film Festival Award and Best Film Award at the “eiga worldcup 2019 for high school students” sponsored by the NPO Eiga Koshien, will be screened. Takenoshin Yaza, director of “Kettle” (Tokyo Gakugei University International Secondary School), participated as an invited student from the Miyukino Film Festival.
