Dear film enthusiasts, it is a pleasure to see the enthusiasm for Nordic films during the film festival in Madarao. This festival gives us a unique opportunity to discover the diversity and talent that exists within the Nordic film industry. It is an art to convey a message through film, and we who watch are taken along on the journey through the powerful stories that unfold in a few minutes. The Norwegian short films show personal relationships, loneliness, war, and everyday life, where the message is universal enough to touch all hearts. I want to thank the organizer of the festival, along with all the directors, screenwriters and actors who have contributed to these films, and who have given us an opportunity to reflect, be moved and be inspired. I hope the Miyukino Snowtheater International Film Festival will be a great success this year, and thank you for providing the opportunity for Norwegian filmmakers to have an international platform!
